About Us...........
My name is Carolyn, I live with my husband and Son and of course our animals, on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Originally from the UK, I grew up in a tiny corner of Wales where at about the age of 7, I dreamed daily of owning my own horse and had visions of a Kennel. How dreams evolve! Remembering the many times I travelled 7 miles on my bicycle to the riding stables where I worked all day, so that I could ride the horses and be invited to gymkhanas and have the opportunity to join in the local fox hunting event. I now find myself living out all of my dreams, owning 5 horses myself (not forgetting the donkey), living on beautiful Vancouver Island, breeding English Cocker Spaniels, there is nothing more I want in life. Having such a love for animals, as well as a passion for accomplishment, I decided that caring for animals and interacting with people who have the same interests as I, was what I wanted to do on a daily basis........therefore........Hooves 'n' Hounds.

As animal owners and lovers, we understand the commitment involved in owning animals and we pride ourselves on the loyalty we offer to both our clients and their animals. With years of experience with horses and various others , we approach our business with kindness, tolerance, regardless of vices, acting on the belief that treating all creatures with the love and attention they deserve, creates a partnership of trust and respect. We have met some wonderful people on our journeys, who share the same love of animals as we do, it has been such a pleasure to meet you!
