Horses are never left unattended, are fed, watered and checked upon regularly. We make regular stops and have excellent facilities for overnight layovers. We offer a personal door to door service, and with a maximum of three horses onboard at anytime, individual attention. We transport using brand new 2007 Kiefer built 3 horse trailers. With heavy duty axles,offering a superb ride, your horse will travel in the luxury it deserves. Our mission is to supply the most comfortable, cost effective way to get your precious cargo to it's destination. We offer fair, reasonable transport quotes with the opportunity to further discount your cost as we fill our trailer. We assure you, once reserving a haul with us, we guarantee we will not let you down last minute due to others cancelling. Our brand new 2007 Kiefer built trailer is both well built and immaculate. Regulary maintained as per dealer recommendation. Solid dividers offer privacy for each horse enroute. Spacious, inviting, slant haul for hard to load horses

About us

Originally from the UK, I grew up in a tiny corner of Wales where at about the age of 7,  I dreamed daily of owning my own horse and had visions of a Kennel. How dreams evolve! Remembering the many times I travelled 7 miles on my bicycle to the riding stables where I worked all day, so that I could ride the horses and be invited to gymkhanas and have the opportunity to join in the local fox hunting event. I now find myself living out all of my dreams, owning 4 horses myself (not forgetting the donkey), living on beautiful Vancouver Island, breeding English Cocker Spaniels, there is nothing more I want in life. Having such a love for animals, as well as a passion for accomplishment, I decided that caring for animals and interacting with people who have the same interests as I, was what I wanted to do on a daily basis........therefore........Hooves 'n' Hounds.

We are based in Chemainus, on beautiful Vancouver Island. As animal owners and lovers, we understand the commitment involved in owning animals and we pride ourselves on the loyalty we offer to both our clients and their animals. With years of experience with horses and various others , we approach our business with kindness, tolerance, regardless of vices, acting on the belief that treating all creatures with the love and attention they deserve, creates a partnership of trust and respect. We have met some wonderful people on our journeys, who share the same love of animals as we do, it has been such a pleasure to meet you!
